Family stranded in woods aided in own rescue - March 8, 2017
A family who was stranded in the remote wilderness outside Utopia when their utility terrain vehicle broke down late Monday night was rescued by authorities early the next morning.

Members from York Sunbury Ground Search and Rescue recently attended the SARScene conference in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island from October 22-26. This annual gathering presented a unique opportunity for members to meet and interact with their fellow search and rescue peers from across Canada. During the 5 day conference, participates attended training courses and information sessions covering a wide variety of search and rescue topics. The event also included a trade show where vendors could show off their last and greatest equipment and solutions.Related:

YSSR Receives $10,000 donation from Fredericton's 100 Men Who Care

York Sunbury Ground Search and Rescue is honored to be the winning recipient of Fredericton’s 100 Men Who Care’s quarterly $10,000 donation in support of local charities. 100 Men Who Care has recognized the importance of YSSR in our local community and their generous donation will go a long way in helping YSSR to achieve a number of important goals.
